Hillman Raises $400K+ for Nurses
CINCINNATI, October 11, 2023 –Hillman Solutions Corp., a leading provider of hardware products and merchandising solutions, is pleased to announce that during its three-year partnership with the American Nurses Foundation, more than $400,500 was raised to benefit nurses who were on the front lines during the COVID-19 pandemic.
In Spring 2020, at the onset of the pandemic, Hillman reached out to the American Nurses Foundation to help registered nurses during the unprecedented time. Hillman had successfully been running a Superhero home and office key campaign, featuring popular superheroes like Black Panther, the Avengers and Spiderman. Hillman presented the idea of adding a key to the Superhero campaign featuring the real-life healthcare heroes working relentlessly to keep people safe and healthy. The nurse depicted on the key is the daughter of a Hillman employee following one of her long shifts taking care of COVID patients.
It was then decided that for every nurse key purchased, 10% of the sales would be donated to the American Nurses Foundation. Individual donations were also accepted through Hillman’s 7,000 Minute Key kiosk locations in retail stores throughout the United States.
The public responded with overwhelming support. From June of 2020 to July of 2023 more than $400,500 was raised on behalf of the American Nurses Foundation. A large portion of that money went toward providing direct financial assistance grants to thousands of nurses in 2020 and 2021. Additionally, hundreds of thousands of additional nurses continue to access vital and complimentary mental health and well-being resources today thanks to the proceeds from the Superhero Key donation campaign.
